It’s possible to spend your life doing things for God while slowly losing your connection with God. Serving can become so second nature that we mistake ministry for intimacy and performance for relationship. But the work we do for Him was never meant to replace the time we spend simply being with Him.
the lies we agree with
Some lies become so familiar that we stop recognizing them as lies. They sound like our own voice, repeat themselves after every failure, and eventually begin to feel like facts. But Scripture reminds us that we don't have to agree with every thought that enters our minds. We can learn to recognize the lies, take them captive, and replace them with the truth of God's Word.
