It’s possible to spend your life doing things for God while slowly losing your connection with God. Serving can become so second nature that we mistake ministry for intimacy and performance for relationship. But the work we do for Him was never meant to replace the time we spend simply being with Him.
Who Calls You by Name
As a new year approaches, I’ve felt the familiar pull to measure myself by productivity and impact. Even in ministry, I noticed how quickly I slipped into performance. But Jesus doesn’t call me by my effectiveness. He calls me by name. And remembering that has reshaped how I enter this next season.
