It’s possible to spend your life doing things for God while slowly losing your connection with God. Serving can become so second nature that we mistake ministry for intimacy and performance for relationship. But the work we do for Him was never meant to replace the time we spend simply being with Him.
Abiding Is Not Passive
We’ve confused productivity with fruit. But Jesus never told us to do more. He told us to remain. Abiding isn’t passive. It’s a daily, intentional choice to stay connected to Him, even when everything in us wants to keep moving.
grace for the faithful
If you’ve been running on empty, this is your reminder: God is not asking for more effort. He’s offering more grace. When life feels like striving and your soul feels weary, Jesus’ invitation still stands: “Come to Me, and I will give you rest.”
